Competitive Analysis
To determine what information was pertinent to display on the microsite, I conducted an analysis of different indie music festival sites. The websites I analyzed were those of the following festivals:
- Primavera Sound
- Arenal Sound
- SanSan Festival
- Sonorama Ribera
- WeekendBeach
Among the several sections that each of the sites had, the most prominent were the following:
- Tickets
- Program / Poster
- News
- Info (accommodation, food, how to get there)
- Media (playlists, images)
- About
Information Architecture
With the most important sections of the microsite in place, it was time to put some order into them. Thanks to the competitive analysis, I was able to determine how to organize the sections and translate it all into a site map:
Design Process
Moodboard
It was time to bring some life to the design. An indie music festival breathes joy and good vibes, so I decided to go for bright colours that would transmit the happiness of the festival.
Style tiles
From the moodboard, I defined the color palette and graphic elements.
Final Mockups
With the visual design defined, I proceeded to put it all together. Each section of the microsite with its defined content and style. Once finished, I passed the final designs to Zeplin.
